Costis Antoniadis is an Emeritus Professor of Photography at the University of West Attica. He was born in Athens in 1949. He studied Physics at the Aristotelian University of Thessaloniki and photography at the Institute Francais de la Photographie in Paris. He is a founding member of the Photographic Center of Athens (1979-2004). Since 1985 he has been a professor in the Department of Photography and Audiovisual Arts at the Technological Educational Institute of Athens. He served as a director of the Museum of Photography in Thessaloniki between 2003- 2006. The past forty years he has published a large number of texts and essays on photography and curated also a large number of exhibitions of Greek and foreign photographers on behalf of the Photography Center, the International Month of Photography, the French Institute and the Photographic Archive of the Benaki Museum in Athens.
He has also held many exhibitions in Greece and abroad and his work belongs in private and national collections.
